What Can Disturb My Immune System and How to Strengthen it

1. Poor Nutrition: Eating an unhealthy diet can deplete your body of the essential vitamins, minerals and nutrients it needs to support a strong immune system. To strengthen your immune system, aim for a balanced diet that is rich in fruits and vegetables, whole grains, lean proteins and healthy fats.

2. Lack of Exercise: Exercise helps improve your overall health by promoting blood circulation and enabling your immune system cells to move through your body more easily. To help boost your immunity, get at least 150 minutes of moderate physical activity each week.

3. Smoking: The chemicals in cigarettes weaken the body's immune system by impairing the production of T cells (immune cells). To protect yourself from harmful toxins, it's important to stop smoking or avoid exposure to secondhand smoke.

4. Stress: When you are under stress, your body produces cortisol, which suppresses the activity of the immune system cells responsible for fighting off viruses and bacteria. To reduce stress levels, take part in activities that you enjoy like reading, going for a walk or practicing mindfulness meditation.

5. Lack of Sleep: Sleep deprivation has been linked to increased inflammation and decreased immune response in the body, leaving you vulnerable to infections and disease. Aim for 7-8 hours of quality sleep each night to keep your immune system strong.

👉 Fermented Honey Garlic Recipe:
Ingredients:
• 1 cup garlic cloves, peeled;
• 1 ½ cups raw honey.

#1. Peel the garlic and place it into a clean jar.
#2. Drizzle the honey over the garlic. You can pour the honey directly over the garlic or drizzle in by using the wooden honey spoon. Do not use a metal spoon as the honey has an acidic pH and reacts with metallic surfaces.
#3. Once the garlic is covered with the honey, place a lid on the jar. Make sure the inside of the lid is not metal. Mason jar lids usually have a coating.
#4. Make sure the cloves are covered in honey. You can flip the closed jar upside down and place it in a dark place.
Within a few days, the fermentation will begin. Bubbles will appear. This is the first sign your garlic is ready to consume. If you are using a regular lid and ring, be sure to “burp” the jar every day or two to release the pressure. To do this, simply twist the lid a little until you hear or feel the pressure releasing (this may not happen the first time or two).
